Dr. Grandominico was born and raised in Westerville, Ohio and graduated from Big Walnut High School in 2005. Upon graduation she began her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University. Dr. Grandominico majored in Animal Sciences and minored in International Studies, Life Sciences, and Public Health. During her studies at The Ohio State University she participated in multiple research studies and internships. Dr. Grandominico was involved in research studies on poultry nutrition and took part in poultry judging. Her internships included The Ohio Wildlife Center and The Ohio Department of Agriculture. She graduated from OSU in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
In 2010, Dr. Grandominico began her studies in veterinary medicine at the University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College, in Ontario, Canada. She excelled in the classroom and earned a position in the ICU of the small animal clinic. Dr. Grandominico received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from The University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College in June of 2014. Her specific areas of interest include surgery, anesthesia, pain management, pathology, and small animal internal medicine.
Dr. Grandominico began her career immediately after graduation at a small animal practice in Mount Vernon. She is a current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Ohio Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Grandominico currently resides in Galena, Ohio with her dog Harley and her fiancé Kurt. She is happy to be back in Central Ohio near her family where she can once again be part of the Sunday family dinners at her parents‘ house. Dr. Grandominico enjoys spending time with her 2 sisters (Lindsey and Jaimie) and their families. Dr. Grandominico enjoys watching OSU football and the Cleveland Indians. Her hobbies include knitting, cooking, traveling, hiking with her dog and reading.
